Eligibility
To be eligible for shared ownership, you:
- Need to be over the age of 18
- Be unable to buy on the open market
- Not already own a property (unless in exceptional circumstances)
- Be able to raise a mortgage to cover the share you wish to purchase
- Be able to afford to pay the remaining rent and bills etc.
- Have enough saved to cover the mortgage and legal fees and any additional moving costs
- Have no more than £15,000 unsecured debt
Malvern connection criteria:
For plot 64 priority will be given to prospective purchasers who have a local connection to Kempsey. If the property is not allocated to an applicant who meets this criteria, then applications will be considered from those with a local connection to Severn Stoke & Powick.
Applicants must meet the following criteria:

- Has permanent employment in the parish of Kempsey, Severn Stoke or Powick
Worcester City connection criteria:
For plots 63 and 65 priority will be given to prospective purchasers who have a local connection to Worcester City only within the postcode area of WR1, WR2, WR3, WR4 and WR5.
Please note if a postcode of WR2, WR5 and WR4 falls under Malvern Hill or Wychavon boundary, the applicant would not be eligible to apply – please check the boundary at My Local Area - Worcester City Council

The plots available are all three-bedroom semi-detached modern homes, with off-street parking for two vehicles. There is a gated side entrance at the rear leading to a patio area, which wraps around the backdoor.
