Cherry Trees is a one-off, individually designed and built home dating back to the post-war era. The property has a non-estate feel, tucked away in a secluded and elevated position with far-reaching views across the rooftops to the nearby countryside. The interior offers a spacious floorplan, while externally there are sizable gardens and a detached double garage on the roadside. Many improvements have been recently undertaken to the property, greatly freshening up the interior and enabling the new owner to move straight in and continue to put their own stamp on the house from a good starting point. The works include redecoration and carpeting, as well as the repair of a defect in the first-floor extension.
The interior of the property is accessed via a double-glazed porch from the front patio. Once inside, one is greeted by a light and airy living space with wall lights and double-glazed sliding doors providing pleasant views and leading out to the patio and decking. This area flows well into an adjoining sitting room, which is centred around a brick fireplace and benefits from dual-aspect windows.
From here, a door leads to the inner hallway, providing access to the rest of the ground floor accommodation, including a reception room at the rear of the downstairs, ideal as a dining room or snug, with multi-aspect windows. The kitchen is a good size and has matching wall and base units, work surfaces with an inset hob and sink drainer, built-in oven, space for additional appliances, including a fridge and washing machine, with downlighters, a double-glazed window to the rear aspect, and a side door accessing the adjoining conservatory.
The spacious conservatory is a useful space, which can also be used as a utility area, with base units, tiled flooring, a radiator, a wall-mounted boiler, a double-glazed door leading to the garden, and an internal door accessing the downstairs WC.
A rear lobby/porch off the hallway completes the ground floor accommodation and provides another access point to the rear garden.
First floor
The first floor is light and airy throughout, with many of the rooms, including the landing, enjoying far-reaching views across the rooftops to the Severn Valley and beyond. The landing has wall lights and a loft hatch accessing the roof space.
Bedroom one is a large double bedroom that floods with light from three windows, which also provide far-reaching views. Bedrooms two and three are also double rooms with multi-aspect windows, with the latter again boasting excellent views as far as the Clent hills. Bedroom four is a good-sized single room.
The four bedrooms are serviced by a spacious, fully tiled bathroom, which has a shower cubicle, a panelled bath, downlighters, an airing cupboard, a pedestal wash basin, and a low-level WC.
Outside
The property is extremely well set back from the road behind a long front garden, which is incredibly user-friendly and very private, offering excellent family-friendly outside space. A paved pathway leads to the front door and sweeps around to a raised patio and accompanying decked area. These provide an excellent space for al fresco dining as they enjoy a sunny orientation and pleasant elevated views. Beyond here is a large lawn with established borders, mature hedging, and small trees, including a Japanese Acer. A side gate leads to the rear garden, which is secluded and designed for low maintenance, comprising gravelled beds, mature bushes, raised beds, and a wooden shed.
The property also benefits from a detached double garage located at the bottom of the front garden, featuring two electric up-and-over doors, power, and lighting.
